Experience

I proudly served at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office from 1995 to 2024, gaining extensive experience across various divisions:

• Jail Corrections – Ensured security, custody, and control of inmates in the Jefferson County Jail.

• Patrol – Protected the public, enforced traffic laws, patrolled neighborhoods, responded to emergency calls, issued citations, served warrants, and made arrests.

• Field Training Officer (FTO) – Guided new officers from academic training to active-duty law enforcement, ensuring they were well-prepared to serve the community.

• DUI Task Force – Identified and removed impaired drivers from our roads to keep our citizens safe.

• Domestic Violence Task Force – Responded to domestic violence incidents alongside specialized counselors to provide immediate support and intervention.

• Undercover Narcotics – Led investigations targeting drug trafficking and illegal narcotics, conducted surveillance operations, executed search warrants, and trained multiple agencies in narcotics tactical operations. Created the Jefferson County Sex Trafficking Unit and Tactical Narcotics School. 

• North Alabama FBI Safe Streets Task Force – Worked in coordination with federal, state, and local agencies to combat violent gangs and criminal enterprises. Targeted drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and illegal narcotics, conducted surveillance operations, executed search warrants, made arrests. 

• Certified Alabama Peace Officer’s Standards and Training Instructor

• Founder, The Genesis Project – Established a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring at-risk youth, providing school supplies, assisting formerly incarcerated individuals with employment, and advocating for fair justice.
